President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, reviewed the Republican Guard of Honour as part of his state visit to France on Thursday.
The ceremony took place at the Foyer of the National Des Invalides, a historic military museum, where a military parade was held in Tinubu’s honor. This inspection, a traditional gesture of respect for visiting heads of state, marked the beginning of Tinubu’s three-day state visit at Macron’s invitation.
The event showcased military precision, strength and ceremonial pageantry, reflecting the strong diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and France. Sources indicate that the visit aims to deepen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in trade, security, and cultural exchange.
During his stay, Tinubu is expected to participate in high-level meetings with French officials and business leaders to further these objectives.
