Kaduna Governor Sani makes fresh appointments

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced a series of appointments aimed at bolstering his administration’s capacity and enhancing service delivery. The appointments, which take effect immediately, include several high-profile positions across various levels of governance.

James Atung Kanyip has been named the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, a critical role given Kaduna State’s focus on addressing security challenges. In addition, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed takes on the portfolio of Commissioner for Finance, and Barde Yunana Markus has been appointed as Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.

The governor also made strategic appointments in the state’s media and legal sectors. Farida Abubakar Ahmed was appointed Executive Director (Radio) of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), while Vitus Azuka Ewuzie assumes the role of Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters.

Other appointments include Francis Damina as Senior Special Assistant for Research and Documentation, Victor Mathew Bobai as Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs, and Abdulmutallib Isah as Senior Special Assistant for Special Duties. Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim has been designated as Special Assistant for Economic Matters.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Mallam Ibraheem Musa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, highlighted the significance of these appointments in re-energizing the administration. “The appointments are part of Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to strengthening governance structures and ensuring efficient service delivery to the people of Kaduna State,” the statement noted.

These new appointments reflect the governor’s strategic approach to addressing critical areas of governance, with an emphasis on security, finance, humanitarian affairs, and effective communication.

By assembling a team of seasoned professionals, the administration aims to tackle the challenges facing the state and deliver on its promises to the people.
