The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has officially commenced the construction of a new Governor’s Lodge in Ogoja Local Government Area. The groundbreaking ceremony, held at the site of the old Governor’s Lodge, was marked by the presence of prominent government officials and party leaders.
Among those in attendance were the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, PhD; Senator (Associate Prof.) Stephen Odey; Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba, Chairman of the Cross River State All Progressives Congress (APC); and Hon. Ironbar, the Chief of Staff to the Government of Cross River State.
Governor Otu used the occasion to reaffirm his administration’s dedication to revitalizing Ogoja, a community that holds deep personal significance for him. Reflecting on his time growing up in Ogoja as a student, the Governor emphasized the importance of restoring the area’s former glory and fostering its development.
The people of Cross River North expressed their unwavering support for Governor Otu’s administration, pledging to stand by him in his efforts to bring meaningful transformation to the region.
The construction of the new Governor’s Lodge is seen as a significant step toward enhancing governance infrastructure in Ogoja and underscores the Governor’s vision for balanced development across Cross River State.
