The Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, Bolaji Idowu, has denied allegations linking him to fraudulent real estate dealings and money laundering in Nigeria.
Addressing his congregation during the Next Level Prayers session on Wednesday, Pastor Idowu dismissed the claims, which surfaced in reports on Tuesday. The reports alleged that he was detained by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja over his involvement in real estate fraud and was later released following interventions from prominent Christian leaders.
Refuting the allegations, Pastor Idowu clarified that he owns no property in Nigeria except for one inherited property. He also denied ever receiving large sums of money, as claimed in the reports.
“I do not have any property in Nigeria apart from the one bequeathed to me,” he stated. “There is no property that I have bought in Nigeria.”
Addressing claims of receiving billions of naira, he said, “My accounts are public; anyone can verify if I have ever received billions. There is a lot being said in the press, but this is not the platform to address it.”
Pastor Idowu assured his congregation of his integrity, emphasizing that the accusations were baseless and unrelated to his ministry.
