A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has alleged a coordinated gang-up against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.
Igbokwe made this claim in a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, revealing that individuals behind the alleged plot had been contacting him directly.
Despite the claims, Igbokwe expressed strong confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to overcome any challenges that may arise on his path to re-election.
In his words:
“There has been a funny/crooked gang-up against PBAT (President Bola Ahmed Tinubu) come 2027. They have been calling my phones. The callers even mentioned the names of the schemers, and I laughed until tears started coming out of my eyes. They do not know about PBAT.”
Reports suggest that opposition campaigns against President Tinubu have been gaining momentum, particularly in the northern region of the country.
Igbokwe’s statement adds to ongoing political conversations about the president’s prospects for a second term amidst shifting alliances and regional dynamics.
