The Adamawa State Government has announced a significant increase in the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the state, raising it from N10,000 to N20,000—a 100% increment.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri made this announcement on Friday during the opening ceremony of the NYSC Batch C Stream 1 orientation course held at the Damare NYSC Camp in Girei Local Government Area.
Congratulating the corps members on their successful graduation and posting to Adamawa for national service, the governor assured them of the state’s peaceful environment and urged them to make meaningful contributions to the development of their places of primary assignment.
In his remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Ateli Samson, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Fintiri for prioritizing the welfare of corps members and ensuring their comfort during their service year.
A total of 1,500 corps members have been registered for the ongoing orientation camp. The allowance increment underscores the state government’s commitment to supporting youth development and national service.
