The Nigerian Senate is set to review the controversial Tax Reform Bill in collaboration with the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
This decision follows the suspension of further actions on the bill by Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, on Wednesday.
Senator Barau announced that the AGF would meet with the committee to ensure all parties have the opportunity to voice their concerns. Afterward, the meeting is expected to reach a reasonable conclusion on the matter.
The review will take place in Abuja on Thursday, December 5. The chairman of the review committee, Senator Anna Moro, along with other committee members, will meet with the AGF to address the contentious issues surrounding the tax reform bill, which has sparked widespread concern across the country.
