Football fans worldwide can now participate in selecting winners for The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2024, which celebrates exceptional achievements in both men’s and women’s football at club and national levels.
FIFA has unveiled the shortlist of nominees for various categories, allowing fans to cast their votes on FIFA.com. Categories include The Best FIFA Men’s Player, The Best FIFA Women’s Player, The Best FIFA Men’s Coach, The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper, and The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper. Voting in these categories will be equally weighted among fans, national team captains and coaches, and media representatives.
For the first time, fans will also have the opportunity to vote for The Best FIFA Men’s 11 and The Best FIFA Women’s 11. From a list of 77 nominated players—22 defenders, midfielders, and forwards each, along with 11 goalkeepers—fans can create their ideal lineup using preset tactical formations. Votes in this category will also be split equally with an expert panel.
The FIFA Puskás Award will honor the scorer of the best goal in men’s football, irrespective of league or nationality. In a significant addition, the inaugural FIFA Marta Award will recognize the best goal in women’s football worldwide, named in honor of Brazilian football legend Marta. Voting for these two awards will be shared equally between fans and a panel of FIFA Legends.
Fans will exclusively decide the winner of the FIFA Fan Award, while the FIFA Fair Play Award will be determined by an expert panel. Voting across all categories closes at 23:59 CET on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with detailed rules available on the FIFA Digital Hub.
