Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has appointed Denen Aondoakaa as the new Special Adviser for the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The appointment was announced in a statement on Monday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula.
Before his new role, Aondoakaa served as the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor in charge of the delivery unit. He has a diverse background, having worked as a one-time branch Operational Manager at Fidelity Bank and previously served as head of revenue optimisation at the Jos Electricity Distribution Company in Makurdi. Aondoakaa also held the position of Technical Adviser at the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance.
Additionally, Governor Alia has redeployed the former Special Adviser for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Denis Akura, who will now serve as an Adviser for Financial and Economic Strategy, Planning, and Development.
