Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N20 reduction in the refinery price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), lowering it from N990 to N970 per litre. This decision, revealed on Sunday, was described as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians and the government for their unwavering support.
Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, shared the news in a statement. He noted that the adjustment reflects the recent drop in crude oil prices, a key factor in determining the cost of petroleum products.
Chiejina explained that this reduction is a way to thank Nigerians for their support and to acknowledge the government’s efforts in fostering domestic enterprise. He added that the refinery is committed to ensuring fuel supply stability and enhancing the nation’s petroleum sector.
Having commenced operations earlier this year, the Dangote Refinery has played a significant role in transforming Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry. Chiejina assured that the refinery remains dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards while scaling up production to meet and exceed domestic fuel demand, ensuring a steady and reliable supply for the country.
