There was a deadly confrontation between Greendlanders and Bobos cult groups, which led to the killing of three people in Igbogene, Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
One of those killed was the son of a previous leader of the Money Sweet neighborhood vigilante group. According to reports from Bayelsa, the cultists, who were about ten in number and armed with hazardous weapons, entered the Igbogene area around 8 p.m., forcing people to flee to safety and lock their doors.
On the state of anonymity, a resident told journalists that the first person shot dead was the son of the neighborhood vigilante group’s former head. “He was shot near his house. The second guy, who was not a cultist, was shot because he could not provide his elder brother’s whereabouts,” the source claimed.
The state police command’s public relations officer, Musa Mohammed, confirmed the situation, saying those shots included Donaldson Mison (28 years), Addy Mulan (27 years), and Greenboy Dudella (29 years).
