Edoardo Bove was born and raised in Rome. His father’s family hails from Naples, while his mother is of German-Italian descent. Growing up in the Appio-Latino district of Rome, Bove attended the prestigious Massimo Institute in the EUR neighborhood. Bove’s football journey began at Boreale Donorione, a local Roman club, before joining Roma’s youth academy in 2012 after excelling in a trial overseen by Bruno Conti. Over the years, he progressed through the ranks, earning his first professional contract with Roma, which he extended until 2024 on 20 November 2020.
Bove’s debut for Roma’s senior team came on 9 May 2021, when he replaced Ebrima Darboe during a 5–0 Serie A victory against Crotone at the Stadio Olimpico. Under coach José Mourinho in the 2021–22 season, Bove became a more regular feature, even starting in a Conference League match on 9 December 2021, where Roma secured a 3–2 win over CSKA Sofia.
On 19 February 2022, Bove scored his first senior goal in a Serie A match, helping Roma draw 2–2 against Verona. His commitment and performances earned him contract extensions, with the most recent one in December 2023, tying him to the club until 2028.
Loan to Fiorentina
In August 2024, Bove joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan with an option for a permanent transfer. He quickly made an impact, scoring his first goal for Fiorentina on 27 October 2024 during a 5–1 win against Roma, his parent club.
However, on 1 December 2024, during a match against Inter Milan, Bove collapsed on the pitch, raising concerns about his health.
