1. The Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC), with a capacity of 125,000 barrels per day, has resumed operations. This was confirmed by Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), during a facility tour on Monday.
2. Starting next month, local councils are expected to receive direct allocations from the Federation Account, beginning with this month’s disbursement. A source disclosed this on Monday.
3. The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has condemned the military airstrike on the Silame community in Sokoto State, which left 10 people dead and several injured. The forum has called for an investigation and compensation for the victims.
4. Telecom operators have called for an urgent review of service tariffs to address economic challenges affecting the sector. They warned that without this adjustment, quality service and sustainability may be jeopardized, impacting the economy.

7. In Jigawa State, a mother and her two children narrowly escaped death when a vehicle crashed into their living room in Dutse at midnight. Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu, confirmed the incident in a statement.
8. President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a federal university in Southern Kaduna. Vice President Kashim Shettima revealed this during a condolence visit to the Kukah family over the death of Yohanna Kukah, the Agwom Akulu of Ikulu Chiefdom.
9. The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, intercepted seven trucks carrying over 2,000 bags of 50kg foreign parboiled rice in a single operation. Separately, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, announced the interception of arms shipments, including 844 rifles and 112,500 rounds of ammunition, at the Onne Seaport.
10. The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) permission to freeze 24 bank accounts linked to terrorism financing. Justice Emeka Nwite approved the application, allowing the accounts to be frozen for 90 days pending further investigations.
