The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has commenced its computer-based tests (CBT) for recruitment into various positions within the state-owned oil firm.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook account on Saturday, NNPCL revealed that 45,689 candidates are vying for the available vacancies.
The company assured that the recruitment process is being conducted transparently and inclusively, with only the most qualified candidates to be selected.
NNPCL stated, “As the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for NNPC Ltd.’s recruitment begins today at various centres across the country, 45,689 applicants compete in a transparent and inclusive recruitment process.”
During a visit to one of the test centres, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mele Kyari, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to a fair and credible process. “Only the most qualified will be selected for employment,” Kyari emphasized.
He further noted that as an equal opportunity employer, NNPCL has ensured that applicants with disabilities can participate in the test without any obstacles.
The recruitment exercise follows an announcement in July 2024 by NNPCL’s spokesperson, who disclosed the commencement of fresh hiring. The ongoing process underscores the company’s pledge to transparency and meritocracy in its hiring practices.
