Abia State Governor Alex Otti has emphasized his commitment, alongside other governors in the Ohanaeze Ndigbo states, to the unity and development of the Igbo people.
He made this statement at his Umuehim Nvosi residence in Isiala Ngwa South LGA while hosting Senator John Azuta Mbata, the newly elected President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and Prince Okey Nwadinobi, the Deputy National President.
The visit was to thank Governor Otti and other governors for their support, which played a key role in their election. Otti expressed confidence in Senator Mbata’s leadership, citing his capacity and track record as reasons for his belief in his success.
“I can vouch for you. I was very pleased when you showed interest. My colleagues and I agreed that capable individuals like you should be given the opportunity,” Otti stated.
The governor reiterated his focus on improving the welfare of the people, highlighting the timely payment of salaries, road construction, and infrastructure development in rural areas as part of his administration’s priorities. He assured Senator Mbata of his full support, along with that of his fellow governors, to help him succeed despite the challenges of leadership.
