Police Dismantles Child Trafficking Ring, Rescues Four Victims in Rivers state 

The Rivers State Police Command has successfully uncovered and dismantled a child trafficking network, rescuing four children and arresting key suspects linked to the crime.

Among those apprehended is Esther Anthony, a resident of Rumukwachi Community in Port Harcourt, who is accused of abducting the children from their home in Bayelsa State.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to combat child trafficking in the region.

In an official statement released on Monday, December 2, 2024, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrests and rescue operation. According to the statement, another individual, identified as Purity Silas, was also taken into custody for her alleged involvement in the case.

The suspects are believed to have been part of a coordinated effort to exploit the vulnerable victims for financial gain.
