Secondary Explosion caused deaths in Sokoto – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters has attributed the deaths of villagers during recent airstrikes in Sokoto State to secondary explosions rather than direct hits from military operations.

Earlier, the Sokoto State government reported that 10 villagers were killed, and several others sustained injuries following airstrikes in Silame Local Government Area.

Addressing the incident, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, clarified that the fatalities and injuries were caused by secondary explosions triggered during the strikes, not the strikes themselves.
