Senate President Godswill Akpabio has distributed substantial items worth billions of Naira through his empowerment program for his constituents in the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.
As part of his end-of-year celebrations, Akpabio distributed a variety of items, including cars, buses, tricycles, motorbikes, sewing machines, and food supplies, amounting to billions of naira. He referred to this initiative as the “Uncommon Empowerment of My Constituents; Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.”
This recent effort aligns with Akpabio’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the well-being of his constituents. Earlier in the year, he facilitated the allocation of over ₦4 billion for constituency projects in the 2024 budget, focusing on infrastructure development and social amenities within the district.
Additionally, Akpabio has been active in other empowerment initiatives. In September 2024, he launched the distribution of 16,800 bags of fertilizers to local farmers, aiming to boost agricultural productivity and ensure food security in the region.
Furthermore, Akpabio has addressed healthcare needs by flagging off free medical services in Akwa Ibom State, demonstrating his commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for his constituents.
These initiatives reflect Akpabio’s dedication to the socio-economic development of the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District and the entire Akwa ibom state, focusing on empowering individuals and enhancing the quality of life within the community.
