Vice President Kashim Shettima Returns from Côte d’Ivoire After Attending International Energy Conference

Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja following his participation in the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The event, hosted at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, is an international platform organized by the Ivorian government to discuss policies and strategies for the sustainable development of the extractive and energy sectors. Shettima attended the conference at the invitation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné.

Shettima’s return comes as President Bola Tinubu continues his state visit to France. President Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday for France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, with discussions expected to center on strengthening diplomatic ties and collaboration. The president has yet to conclude his official engagements abroad.
