Wike Dismisses Rivers Governor’s ‘Red Biro’ Threats

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has brushed off comments made by Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara about using his “red biro” to deal with his adversaries.

Governor Fubara, while speaking during a crossover service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, vowed to continue taking decisive actions against those he considered enemies. “The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Every enemy plan will continue to crash,” Fubara stated.

In response, Wike, through his media aide Lere Olayinka, reminded Fubara that he is new to this approach. Posting on X, Olayinka said, “Someone who has only used the red biro for less than two years is somewhere boasting that ‘The red biro is still filled.’ Issokay. Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has been using the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it?”

Wike’s comments appear to downplay Fubara’s threats, highlighting his own extensive experience in political leadership and decision-making.
