Zamfara APC Condemns Attack on Chieftain, Calls for Peaceful Resolution of Grievances

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned the attack on one of its prominent chieftains, Hon. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, during a wedding ceremony in Gusau.

In a statement released by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the APC expressed shock and disappointment over the incident, which occurred at Rabi’a Jum’at Mosque during the wedding of Alhaji Siddi Daki Takwas’ children.

Hon. Shinkafi revealed that the attack stemmed from his remarks about notorious bandits’ leader Bello Turji. He explained that some individuals attempted to harm him during the event.

The APC described the behavior of the attackers as uncharacteristic and unacceptable, stating, “We noticed with shock how the incident unfolded, as some youths, joined by irate individuals, displayed such bad manners. This is not reflective of our party’s values or those of our members.”
