In a bid to promote good governance and improve workers’ welfare, the Zamfara Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the payment of a 13th-month salary bonus equivalent to 30% of basic salary for public servants, including retirees, as part of the 2024 end-of-year package.
Additionally, the state government has cleared over N10 billion in gratuities owed to workers for the past 11 years. In a further demonstration of commitment to labor welfare, Governor Lawal has also approved the implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage for state workers.
These measures are part of the administration’s efforts to support workers and ensure financial stability for retirees while fostering trust and transparency in governance.
