Former Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, has reaffirmed her commitment to justice by representing a 5-year-old girl allegedly abused by her class teacher.
This follows just a few weeks after her removal from office in a cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu.
Kennedy-Ohaneye, one of four ministers dismissed last month, has continued her advocacy work, focusing on protecting vulnerable Nigerians. In a post on X on Monday, November 25, 2024, she emphasized her dedication to creating a better society and eliminating all forms of abuse, particularly against children.
The lawyer described the case as heart-wrenching and said it had strengthened her determination to fight such crimes. She warned the perpetrators that they would face relentless pursuit in the quest for justice, declaring her zero tolerance for any form of abuse.
Her actions underscore her unwavering passion for justice and commitment to addressing societal ills even outside her ministerial role.
