Ebonyi Police refutes Involvement in Ohanaeze Youth Leader’s Alleged Abduction

The Ebonyi State Police Command has dismissed media reports claiming that its officers were responsible for the alleged abduction of the President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Igboayaka O. Igboayaka.

In a statement on Monday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, clarified that Igboayaka’s case is linked to a petition submitted to the Commissioner of Police, accusing him of spreading false information that could disrupt peace and destabilize communities in the state.

“The command is currently investigating these allegations, and once the investigation is concluded, he will be charged in court,” Ukandu stated.

Reaffirming its dedication to upholding the law, the police assured the public that all actions would be conducted within legal boundaries while respecting individual rights.
