Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface or 2baba, has publicly confirmed his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, just weeks after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay.
The confirmation came after rumors about the pair’s relationship had been circulating for some time. Tuface’s appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly on Monday only added fuel to the fire, as many speculated that it was an acknowledgment of his romantic ties to Natasha.
In a video shared on his Instagram early Wednesday morning, Tuface directly addressed the rumors. He openly stated, “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” confirming his affection for Natasha and putting an end to the speculation. The singer also took the opportunity to defend Natasha, who has faced criticism and harsh labels from the public. Tuface expressed his support for her, calling her a “young, brilliant, and amazing woman.”
He further clarified that Natasha was not involved in the issues between him and Annie, stating, “She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie. But I see everybody trying to allegedly want to rope her into everything. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
This comes after Tuface made headlines in January when he announced that he and Annie had been separated for some time and had filed for divorce. The singer had shared a statement with his fans, saying, “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long. Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while and have filed for divorce. I would grant a press release soon to say my story—not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people, and I need them to know my innocence or offence. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all.”
The confirmation of his relationship with Natasha comes amid intense public scrutiny of his personal life, as fans continue to follow the developments surrounding his marriage and new romance.
