Former Vice President and 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Atiku was accompanied by former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke and former Sokoto State Governor and Senator, Aminu Tambuwal.
While the details of their discussion remain undisclosed, the meeting comes amid growing speculation about opposition leaders strategizing to form a coalition against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
This visit follows Atiku’s recent meeting with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, at his residence in Adamawa State, further fueling speculation about potential political realignments.
