Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, swore in Umar Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Monday, following the resignation of Abdullahi Baffa Bichi due to health reasons.

A press statement from the Cabinet Office, issued by Information Officer Musa Muhammad, highlighted Ibrahim’s competence and optimism for the future of Kano State under his leadership. The statement emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering on its promises to the people.
In a related development, members of the Payroll Standing Committee, led by Deputy Chairman Abdulmalik Rogo, visited the new SSG to offer their support. Rogo expressed their confidence in Ibrahim’s abilities and wished him success in his new role.
In response, Ibrahim thanked the committee members for their visit and reiterated his commitment to serving the state with dedication. He also assured the public of his open-door policy, inviting anyone with ideas to help improve the state.
