You can never win Anambra, APGA dares APC

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has dismissed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s ambitions of gaining political ground in Anambra State, asserting that the ruling party lacks the necessary structure to succeed in the state.

APGA National Chairman, Sly Ezeokenwa, made this statement in reaction to APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s recent call for party loyalists to bring Anambra under APC’s fold, beginning with the 2025 governorship election.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Ezeokenwa described the APC as non-existent in Anambra, noting that the party lacks both structure and elected officials in the state.

His stance was supported by Victor Oye, APGA’s immediate past National Chairman and a member of its Board of Trustees, who criticized Ganduje’s focus on Anambra while his home state of Kano is controlled by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

“Ganduje is my friend, but isn’t it laughable that Kano, his home state, is in the hands of the NNPP, yet he’s talking about winning Anambra?” Oye remarked. He added that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second term is already assured following the Supreme Court judgment affirming APGA’s leadership.

The remarks further solidify APGA’s confidence in maintaining its stronghold in Anambra, where it has consistently dominated state politics.
