Verydarkman Accuses EFCC of Plotting to Frame Him
Controversial activist, Verydarkman, has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is planning to frame and arrest him due to his outspoken criticism of its chairman, Olanipekun Olukoyede.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Verydarkman claimed that a prominent lawyer and an influencer recently visited the EFCC office in Abuja, presenting a clip of him spraying money at an event as evidence against him.
According to him, an EFCC officer allegedly confirmed that he was already on their target list due to his persistent criticism of the commission and its leadership.
“I heard that two visitors—a lawyer and an influencer—came to EFCC Abuja today because of me. They showed a video of me spraying money and said, ‘This is an opportunity to go after Verydarkman.’ I also heard that an officer agreed, saying I’ve been speaking rudely about the EFCC and its chairman. Now, they are planning to frame me,” he said.
The activist, known for his bold stance on social issues, maintained that he has informants within the EFCC and is aware of the alleged plot against him.
His claims have sparked reactions online, with supporters urging the EFCC to clarify its position while others await further developments on the issue.
